REPORT LINE FOR ANTI-CHRISTIAN HARASSMENT &/OR BIGOTRY INCIDENTS

Over the past several years, Canadians have witnessed a troubling rise in anti-Christian bigotry. This has taken many forms, the most visible of which has been the surge in attacks against churches. Exact figures vary, but between 130 and 135 churches have reportedly been burned, vandalized or desecrated, with at least 44 completely destroyed by fire.

Christians seeking to live out their faith sincerely have also experienced online bullying, harassment, political and workplace discrimination, and in-person intimidation. While individual incidents may be investigated when reported to police, no coordinated national initiative has been launched by the federal government to address the broader pattern.

In response, we are establishing this grassroots database to document credible incidents of anti-Christian bigotry across Canada. Our goal is to gather qualitative and quantitative evidence that can be presented to elected officials and used to demonstrate the nature and severity of this issue.
