Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 17, 2026
4 My Canada Association (“4 My Canada,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is a faith-based political action organization operating in Canada since 2006. This policy explains what personal information we collect through 4mycanada.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We are not a registered political party. Where our activities are commercial in nature — our online shop, for example — the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) applies. We apply the standards in this policy across all of our activities regardless of whether a given activity falls inside or outside PIPEDA’s commercial-activity scope.
1. Information we collect
Email list signup
Name and email address. Where provided, postal code or province so we can direct you to the correct elected officials.
Petitions
Name, email address, and where the petition requires it, city, province and postal code. Petition forms are hosted by Formsite. See section 4 — petitions are not private submissions.
Donations
Name, email address, billing address and donation amount. Donations are processed by Zeffy. We do not receive or store your full credit card number. Where you donate by Interac e-Transfer, we receive the name and email address attached to the transfer.
Monthly giving
Name, contact details and recurring gift details, collected through a Formsite form.
Online shop
Name, email address, shipping address and order contents. Payment is processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
Report Line
Information you choose to submit about an incident of anti-Christian bigotry or harassment. This may include your name and contact details, the details of the incident, and information about your religious beliefs or affiliation. See section 5.
Job applications
Name, contact details, résumé and any other information you choose to include.
Events
Name, contact details and registration details for events you register to attend.
Website use
Wix, our website platform, collects standard technical information including IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and referring site. Embedded YouTube videos are served by Google and set their own cookies when you interact with them.
2. How we use your information
To send you email updates, action alerts and campaign information you have asked to receive.
To deliver petitions and campaign messages to elected officials and other decision-makers.
To process, acknowledge and keep records of donations and shop orders.
To respond to enquiries, Report Line submissions and job applications.
To register you for events and send you event information.
To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
To meet our legal, accounting and audit obligations.
3. Consent and your email choices
We send commercial and campaign email only to people who have given express consent, in keeping with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and we honour unsubscribe requests promptly.
You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us using the details in section 12. Withdrawing consent for email does not erase records we are required to keep for donations or accounting.
4. Petitions are public advocacy, not private submissions
This is the most important thing to understand before you sign.
When you sign one of our petitions, you are asking us to communicate your position to elected officials on your behalf. Your name, and where collected your city, province or riding, may be presented to Members of Parliament, Senators, provincial representatives, government offices, committees or the media as part of that petition.
Petition totals and, where relevant, the names of signatories may be published or presented publicly. We do not publish signatories’ email addresses, and we do not sell petition data.
If you want to support a campaign without having your name presented to officials, contact us rather than signing.
5. Report Line submissions
The Report Line collects sensitive personal information — including, potentially, information about your religious beliefs and about incidents that have affected you or others.
We treat Report Line submissions as confidential. We use them to understand patterns of anti-Christian bigotry and harassment in Canada, and we may reference incidents in aggregate or anonymized form in our public advocacy, research and communications.
We will not publish your name, contact details or identifying details of your report, or share them with a third party, without your specific consent — except where we are required to do so by law, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm to a person.
If you wish to report an incident without identifying yourself, you may submit a report without your name or contact information, though this limits our ability to follow up.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade our mailing list.
We share information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf, listed in section 7. These providers are authorized to use your information only to provide the service we have contracted them for.
We transmit petition and campaign information to elected officials and decision-makers as described in section 4 — this is the purpose for which you provide it.
We may disclose personal information where required by law, court order, or lawful government request, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
We do not share supporter data with partner, allied or third-party organizations for their own campaigns or fundraising, and we do not participate in list exchanges.
7. Service providers and where your information is stored
Several of our service providers store and process information outside Canada, primarily in the United States. Information stored in another country is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts and law enforcement. By using this site and submitting information to us, you consent to this transfer.

9. Security and retention
